Origination of IMSB

In 2005, Hon. Salip Aloy A. Jainal re-invented LSB (Local School Board) in collaboration with Synergeia Foundation Inc. The Indanan Municipal Government and Synergeia sat together with the school officials of Indanan South District until LSB monthly meeting was set and observed. However, specific name and program of activities were not specifically mentioned. It seemed that the school board functioned because of the educational program of Synergeia in Indanan South District schools. Financial allocation for DepED Indanan South District was not formally appropriated either monthly or yearly. Finally, the relationship between Synergeia and Indanan Municipal Government ended mysteriously. Likewise, it was the loss of the monthly meeting of local school board.

Alhamdulillah, year 2012 came in during the stewardship of the elected Indanan Municipal Mayor, Hon. Saripuddin "Eddih" D. Jikiri. Mayor Jikiri formed a committee to formally organize the local school board named Indanan Municipal School Board (IMSB). The committee was composed of Indanan DILG Officer, Nurhatab A. Saddarani, Indanan Municipal Information Officer, Hji. Iriles N. Ladjabassal and Indanan Municipal Consultation on Education, Abdulpatta A. Saddarani, retired district supervisor of Patikul East District. It was on December 17, 2012 when the committee met with both Indanan South District and Indanan North District school officials. School officials from Indanan South District were Samoore S. Ladjahali, District In-Charge and his school administrators while school officials from Indanan North District were Anang P. Jamiri, District Caretaker for and in the absence of Dr. Abdulnaser J. Adala, District In-Charge and her co-school administrators. Formalization of IMSB members was partially created in accordance with Republic Act 7160. Finalization for the Co-chair of the municipal mayor was held in abeyance in so far as two district heads were concerned until time came with a decision from the Schools Division Superintendent that Samoore S. Ladjahali, Indanan South District In-Charge should be the Co-chair because Dr. Abdulnaser J. Adala was just Caretaker of Indanan North District, occupying an official position of Education Program Supervisor.
